Melted Crayon Art DIY🎨

Hey, bloggers! So recently I was on Pinterest and I came across a pin about melted crayon art. (Follow me on Pinterest! My username is rubytuesday754) So, when me and my friend Delaney got together today, we decided to try it. My hopes were high because it looked pretty easy. It actually is unlike a lot of DIYs out there! I definitely recommend to try it out this summer. So keep reading of you want to learn how to do it!👌🏻

Warning: you need permission from an adult before you do this because it was dangerous at some parts for us.

What you will need:

-A canvas. This can be cardboard or an actually canvas from the store. Just use something thick.

-Crayons. I recommend Crayola. This is just what I used.

-A hair dryer.

-Super glue.

Optional: you can draw a black silhouette beforehand so the crayon can melt over it. It’ll look pretty cool.

Step 1

Unpeal the paper off crayons and start to lay out in a row the order of colors you want. ⬇️

Step 2: Glue them down to your canvas. You can actually use hot glue if you want. I recommend super glue though, because then your less likely to melt your crayons.

Step 3: Now that you have crayons glued on the top of your canvas, you can make a silhouette if you want with sharpie. Then you can put sheets down and plug in your blow dryer. Direct it towards the crayons on the top and watch them melt and splatter onto your canvas. My friend used too much glue, so when she melted her crayons, the glue or something sprayed into our eyes. Thankfully, were okay!

Step 4: Let the painting dry and then you’ve got beautiful melted crayon art!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Here’s how our art turned out.⬇️ I made the blue one and Delaney made the rainbow one.

A Summer Post?☀️

Hey, bloggers! Today is officially the first day of summer, but instead of that exciting news, my day wasn’t so good. Of course to kick off the summer, like every single year I got sick over the weekend, and I still am ☹. Currently I am sneezing all over this keyboard… Maybe it’s just allergies, but for some reason I keep coughing up mucus… Anyways, enough description of my disgusting medical problems. I still can’t believe it’s summer and that I’m out of elementary school! I’ll try to post about every week like I normally do, and keep updating on my summer plans and activities.

By the way, here is a picture of my friends and I at 6th grade graduation!⬇️

Summer And Graduation And Middle School And Homework And…..Life

Well, it’s the end of the year! I’m so excited that summer is right around the corner. I’m going to miss my elementary school though. I’ll be going into seventh grade this year, and will have no choice but to start middle school 😔. But, still I’ll have an amazing summer before that! Here’s what I’m doing so far…

  1. Summer camp
  2. I might be going to Lake Tahoe
  3. More camps
  4. My birthday (Yay!)

Anyways, I’m really excited.

My Obsession With Roses…

Hey Bloggers! I’ve been thinking about roses a lot lately… I always think about them this time of year because– why not? Everything is in bloom (the roses!) and it’s not too hot, not too cold.

My obsession with roses started when I was little because our neighbors have a rose garden on the outside of there house. I would go take the petals off the ground, and make these little pouches with dried rose petals inside (they smelled really good). Now whenever I pass that house I drop everything and run to smell the roses! I guess I would be that person who, “stops and smells the roses” metaphorically and literally! Later in life, I watched a movie that was based on the beauty of roses (pretty deep stuff) called Beastly. I’m really obsessed with Beastly I’ve read the book five times, watched the movie 5 times, etc… So because of the Beastly movie and the little flower pouches I’m obsessed with roses. Also Shakespeare was an influence. To quote Shakespeare (all time best of best poet):

Running Out Of Ideas 😨

image This is one of my favorite photos I’ve found all year. I started writing a story for it called, ‘The Misfits’ but it’s not off to a creative start. I found this pic on Flikr a photo sharing website (the best) that I love to find photos on.

 

image  I forgot got where I got this pic. I really wanted to save it because it looked really ‘artsy fartsy’ and the color on the buildings looked like icing! Also it reminded me of the downtown city I live close to.
